On Sep 19, we gathered at the Malosi Community Room for the Sunnydale Latino Heritage Celebration, and what an incredible day it was! Families and neighbors came together to enjoy delicious Mexican food, vibrant dance performances, and a true sense of community.

What an amazing day we have had at the SF Chinatown and Sunset Autumn Festival respectively! Families are out in full force, enjoying the festivities and having a blast at our tables.

Our agency proudly participated in the annual Chinatown Night Out event on September 4 at Portsmouth Square! This year marks the 10th anniversary of fostering connections between the SFPD Central Station and the vibrant Chinatown community.

The opening of the "Tradition Meets Modernity" Children's Art Exhibition at the Portsmouth Square Garage in Chinatown was recently launched. This annual art competition showcases the incredible talent and creativity of young artists aged 4 to 16 from the Bay Area.

Families and kids from our Chinatown community came together in a big way to celebrate the opening of our brand new, spacious Chinatown Family Resource Center!

We're thrilled to receive some wonderful feedback on the impact our Friendship Social Emotional Learning Group intern, Alexander Sebastian, has had at Gordon J. Lau school. As the teacher noted, "Alexander has forged deep connections with [the students], enabling them to establish friendships and feel supported in ways that have made a significant difference in their lives."

For several years, APAFSS has partnered with JCYC to run the MYEEP in Visitacion Valley. Throughout the year, we have over 30 high school students participating in our MYEEP. This summer, we're excited to have over 70 high school students joining our summer MYEEP. Participants have started their comprehensive Pre-Employment Training and are now getting ready to start working.
