Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Case Management engagement in Child Welfare Services, Differential Response and Enhanced Visitation referrals and program activities.

  • Coordinate groups or events for FRC’s family engagement, community connections, and parents/caregivers capacity building services and program activities.

  • Supervising a team of staff, interns, volunteers, and subcontractors’ deliverables and required meetings/training.

  • Manage and coordinate the intake, triage and assessment process.

  • Provide outreach and recruitment activities to the targeted population to effectively promote program services.

  • Provide support for food pantry distribution, diaper bank distribution, and basic need supplies distribution at multiple sites.

  • Facilitate community presentations, forums and advocacy/network meetings and in service trainings.

  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with community service providers, funders, and other agencies/programs to educate and advocate for the needs of families and communities.

  • Coordinate crisis intervention, case management and visitation monitoring for foster children to ensure their safety and help biological parents with enhancing their parenting skills.

  • Provide bilingual, culturally competent direct support services to clients in need and make home visits as necessary.

  • Maintain client records and perform family assessment evaluation to update client progress.

  • Provide and assess data, documents, and reports as required.

  • Participate in program administration, planning, and evaluation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Social Work or related field required. Or a combination of coursework and/or experience in the area of children and family services, communication skills, group dynamics, and community organizing.

  • 2 years of experience and strong interest in the field of family support and community service. Minimum 1 year of experience in supervision, project management and development required.

  • Proven ability to work with people from diverse ethnic, socioeconomic, educational, religious, sex/gender orientations, and generational backgrounds.

  • Familiarity and experience working with community-based organizations, and city government agencies.

  • Excellent supervisory skills; excellent organizational and task management skills; and conflict resolution skills.

  • Persuasive communication skills and the ability to present in professional and community settings

  • Valid California Driver’s License and proof of vehicle insurance.

  • This position requires working on site, with frequent weekend, off-hours, and evening work. Some travel is required.

  • Must pass Background check and TB test clearance

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties

  • Preferred bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese or another A/PI language.
