Empowering Women and Advancing Gender Equity: Our Experience at SHIFT Happens Summit

APAFSS had the wonderful opportunity to participate in San Francisco's women's policy summit, SHIFT Happens, hosted by IGNITE National and the San Francisco Department on the Status of Women.

This empowering event took place on April 18 at Moscone Center, bringing together passionate individuals and organizations dedicated to advancing gender equity and empowering women, girls, and nonbinary community members.

We had the privilege of setting up a table in the community lounge and networking space, where we had the chance to introduce our services and engage with Summit attendees. It was an amazing experience connecting with other local partners and nonprofits who share our commitment to empowering women and girls in civic spaces.

We are grateful to IGNITE and DOSW for extending this invitation. It was a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the dialogue around gender equity and make valuable connections.
