What an incredible day celebrating AAPI Cultural Heritage at our Community Picnic

The weather was perfect as families and friends gathered in Golden Gate Park to enjoy Asian cuisine, captivating cultural performances, and fun interactive activities.

The taiko drumming troupe had everyone tapping their feet with their powerful rhythms, while the graceful Hula Auana dancers transported us to the islands. And the martial arts demonstrations left us in awe of the dedication and skill of the performers.

In between the vibrant performances, the kids had a blast getting their faces painted, and making balloon animals. The mobile library was a huge hit, allowing everyone to discover books celebrating AAPI heritage.

It was such a joy to see our community come together to honor and share our rich cultural traditions. Events like these are so important in fostering understanding, connection, and pride.
