Celebrating AAPI Heritage Through the Arts

In honor of AAPI Heritage Month, we hosted a special movie screening and panel discussion for our APAFSS community. Families joined us for a viewing of the heartwarming Hong Kong film "The Lyricist Wannabe" - part of the acclaimed CAAMFEST film series.

After the screening, we were thrilled to welcome director Norris Wong and producer Wong Hoi to share their inspiring filmmaking journey and production experiences. It was a unique opportunity for our attendees to gain behind-the-scenes insights and engage in a thought-provoking dialogue about Asian representation in the arts.

Integrating the arts into our programming is a meaningful way for us to celebrate the rich diversity and vibrant cultural heritage of the AAPI community. By providing access to impactful stories and engaging directly with the creative minds behind them, we aim to foster deeper appreciation and connection.
